A Hindu wedding, known as Vivaah Sanskaar in Hindi, is a religious ceremony in which three key rituals are practiced— the ‘giving away’ of the daughter by her father, the couple voluntarily holding hands near fire (to signify union) and taking seven ‘steps before the fire’ to complete the circuit. As you may know, a Hindu wedding and its related practices can take several days. But in our case, the wedding will be a 1.5 to 2 hour ceremony at our home. We truly hope you will be able to attend!
